It ‘hard to say what struck us of the journey we had in Thailand few months ago.

It’s hard to say which was the strongest feeling that we had.

 

Which one of you have already been in Thailand well know what we’re talking about. Since you arrive in the country you are shocked by a mix of colors, smells, sounds, places and faces.

 

Two different worlds collide.

 

It ‘s a land of contrasts that changed how we look at things. You have to give up your points of view to let these wonderful people touch you with their culture.

 

Their greatest wealth is not in the territory, is not in the nature, and not in the religion so deeply rooted. It’s in the smile.

Serenity is everywhere in Thailand, you can feel it in every person you meet – traders, monks or children –  and it’s so contagious that pushes you to see everything with new eyes.

 

In an energetic and chaotic city like Bangkok it’s rare to see someone pushing for the haste, or get angry for almost unmanageable traffic. The most surprising thing is that the people we met there offered their help without wanting anything in return, despite their honest poverty. This is something that you don’t find in books. You live it and it makes you feel the distance from western habits but also a strong and a unexpected inner wealth.

The strong feeling of freedom that this Country gave us is unique. Even if it can be hostile for someone, this land gives you a lightness that you can find everywhere, walking down the street or turning barefoot at the holy places, where anxieties suddenly disappear. And this is the greatest treasure to be preserved.

E ‘difficile dire cosa più ci ha colpito durante il nostro viaggio in Thailandia qualche mese fa.

E ‘difficile dire anche qual’è stata la sensazione più forte che abbiamo provato.

 

Chi di voi è già stato in Thailandia sa bene di cosa stiamo parlando. Dal momento in cui si atterra in questo paese, si viene pervasi da un mix di colori, odori, suoni, luoghi e volti.

 

Due mondi diversi si scontrano.

 

E ‘una terra di contrasti che ha cambiato il nostro modo di vedere le cose. E’ necessario farlo per entrare in contatto con la cultura di questo popolo meraviglioso.

 

La loro più grande ricchezza non è nel territorio, non è nella natura, e non è nella religione così profondamente radicata. E ‘nel sorriso.

La serenità è ovunque in Thailandia, si può percepire in ogni persona che incontrate – commercianti, monaci o bambini – ed è così contagiosa che vi spinge a vedere tutto con occhi diversi.

 

In una città energica e caotica come Bangkok è raro vedere qualcuno spingere per la fretta, o arrabbiarsi per il traffico quasi ingestibile. La cosa più sorprendente è che le persone che abbiamo incontrato ci offrivano il loro aiuto senza volere nulla in cambio, nonostante la loro onesta povertà. Questo è qualcosa che non si trova nei libri. Si vive e fa percepire la distanza dalle abitudini occidentali, ma anche una forte ricchezza interiore.

Il forte senso di libertà che questo paese ci ha dato è unico. Anche se può sembrare ostile per qualcuno, questa terra regala una leggerezza che si trova ovunque, camminando per strada o girando a piedi nudi nei luoghi sacri, dove le ansie improvvisamente scompaiono. E questo è il più grande tesoro da conservare.
