Sandalwood Luxury Villas comprende 14 ville annidate su una collina tra la zona di Lamai e Chaweng, tutte con una vista mozzafiato sul mare. Il panorama è tra i più belli che abbiamo trovato sull’isola, e non stiamo esagerando (vedere per credere).

Koh Samui è un’isola piena di cose da fare per chiunque. Le spiagge sono wow ma sanno essere anche molto affollate, quindi dopo una giornata intera al mare non c’è nulla di meglio del relax nella nostra villa. Ma non parliamo di una stanza come un’altra, parliamo di un vero e proprio piccolo appartamento privato. C’è persino la cucina. Ci credete se vi diciamo che a volte non volevamo muoverci per tutto il giorno?

Sandalwood Luxury Villas comprises 14 villas on the hill side, in an area between Lamai and Chaweng, on the island of Koh Samui. Each private villa has a breath-taking view over the seaside. Without a doubt, the landscape is one of the most beautiful on the island (you must see it to believe).

Koh Samui has plenty of activities to offer for everyone. The beaches are wonderful, but they can get quite crowded. This is why, after a long day spent on the beach, there’s nothing better than go back to the villa to get some tranquillity and relax. The private villas are proper secret home. Kitchen included. There have been days in which we did not want to move at all….absolute comfort!!

Il fatto che sia a qualche chilometro dalla vita delle spiagge non è sinonimo di scomodità. Basta chiedere e c’è sempre un taxi pronto a portarvi ovunque vogliate. Non volete prendere il taxi? Nessun problema, c’ una navetta che parte più volte al giorno per Lamai e Chaweng. Preferite muovervi indipendentemente? Basterà noleggiare un motorino.

Insomma non si rischia certamente di rimanere bloccati la. Anche se sotto sotto siamo convinti che anche voi fareste lo stesso nostro pensiero di non muovere un muscolo per tutto il giorno.

Despite the villas’ location (few miles from the beach), there were no disadvantages for us because you could always find a taxi to commute wherever you wanted. If you don’t want to get a taxi, no worries, there are plenty of choices, including  hotel transports that leave for Lamai or Chaweng  few times a day. An alternative, if you want to be independent, is to rent a motorbike.

You will definitely not get stuck in there…and if you would…just enjoy your lazy day!

Quando siamo arrivati all’hotel in tarda mattinata, i ragazzi ci hanno accolto portandoci alla nostra stanza: Villa Jasmine. Due camere da letto, bagno con vasca idromassaggio, terrazza gigantesca con divano king size, tutto in perfetto stile thai tradizionale.

Ma sono i dettagli che fanno la differenza di un hotel.

Sembra poco, ma anche la temperatura dell’acqua della infinity pool era sempre perfetta.

E poi la pace che si respira è pazzesca. Sarà perché l’hotel non può contenere molti ospiti, quindi è tutto molto più esclusivo. Anche i ragazzi del personale hanno fatto il possibile per non farci mancare nulla.

Il ristorante interno Blue Ginger combina cucina thailandese e cucina occidentale, e il Sanctuary Spa completa il quadro relax di questo luogo.

Tra l’altro abbiamo scoperto che questo è l’hotel con il miglior rapporto qualità-prezzo nella zona di Lamai. Tutti i clienti escono con un sorriso più grande di quello dei Thailandesi, che è già famoso per essere uno dei più belli.

When we arrived, it was nearly afternoon. The staff was very polite and promptly showed us to our room: Villa Jasmine. The suite comprises two bedrooms, a bathroom with hydro-massage, a huge terrace with a super comfy king-size sofa, all decorated according to traditional Thai interior design.

At the Sandal Wood Hotel are the details that really make the difference.

Even the infinity pool water temperature was perfect. The place is very peaceful and there is a feeling of calm and tranquillity that runs through every area of the hotel. Add to all this, the whole staff was fantastic and exceeded our expectations…they really went the extra mile to make our visit special.

The restaurant Blue Ginger combines traditional Thai cuisine with a modern western touch and the hotel offers also a selection of spa treatments in the relaxing Spa Sanctuary.

Another important thing to say, it is that Sandal Wood Luxury Villas is the hotel with the highest value for money in the area. All the guests leave with a big smile on their faces and they want to come back….and this is what you need to make a great Hotel.
