Rome: the Eternal City.

We were lucky enough to explore many beautiful places over the years around the world, but this city gives us unbeatable feelings. A place that goes directly into the heart.

It’s one of the most visited capitals, and the city with the largest number of inhabitants in Italy.

In Rome there’s really one of the greatest artistic and historical heritage in the world. But over  the usual tourist attractions, Rome is much more.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di esplorare molti luoghi affascinanti nel corso degli anni in giro per il mondo, ma questa città regala emozioni impareggiabili. Un posto che entra direttamente nel cuore.

E’ una delle capitali più visitate, e la città con il maggior numero di abitanti in Italia.

A Roma c’è davvero uno dei patrimoni artistici e storici più grandi al mondo. Ma oltre ai soliti cliché turistici, Roma è molto altro.

The beauty of this city lies in its “spirit”. Its charm lives in every place, in history, in situations, in locals and in its disorder. The Romans are chaotic, funny, very proud and have a strong culture of welcome that makes everyone feel at ease.

If you have regard, Rome seduces you.

“Pizza, spaghetti e mandolino”? Questo è il posto giusto!

La bellezza di questa città sta nel suo “spirito”. Il suo fascino vive in ogni luogo, nella storia, nelle situazioni, negli abitanti e nel suo disordine. I romani sono caotici, simpatici, molto orgogliosi, e hanno una forte cultura dell’accoglienza che fa sentire chiunque a proprio agio.

Se la rispettate, Roma vi conquista.

Getting there was easy with Flixbus: for just 18 € we took a bus from Padua that led us directly to Rome’s Tiburtina Station.

And how could we not explore the city if not in perfect “Vacanze Romane” style?

After rented a Vespa motorbike, we left for the squares and historic streets of the Eternal City, and we can assure you that it has been the best choice.

Motorbike in Rome is one of the means of transport much more used by locals and not, because you can drive all the streets of the historic center, due to the fact that limited traffic zone isn’t a limit  for these means. It’s also easy to drive through the traffic and to find parking, and in this city we assure you that it’s not a trivial matter.

Arrivarci è stato semplice con Flixbus: per soli 18€ abbiamo preso un bus che da Padova ci ha condotto direttamente alla stazione di Roma Tiburtina.

E come potevamo non esplorare la città se non in perfetto stile “Vacanze Romane”?

Noleggiata una Vespa,  siamo partiti per le piazze e le strade storiche della città eterna, e possiamo garantirvi che è stata la scelta migliore.

Il motorino a Roma è uno dei mezzi più utilizzati dai cittadini e non, perché permette di entrare in tutte le strade del centro storico, dal momento che per questi mezzi non vale il limite delle zone a traffico limitato. In più è semplice muoversi nel traffico e trovare parcheggio, e in questa città vi assicuriamo che non è cosa da poco.

If you decide to use a motorbike to explore Rome, watch out for “cobblestones” in the streets, they can be very slippery when wet. Pay attention also to the tram tracks, try not to park on the sidewalk and always close the scooter with a good padlock.

Do not think too much to all the rest, mix up yourself with the crowd and enjoy this open-air amazing place!

Se decidete anche voi di utilizzare uno scooter per vedere Roma, fate attenzione ai “sanpietrini” nelle strade, che se bagnati possono essere molto scivolosi. Fate attenzione anche alle rotaie del tram, cercate di non parcheggiare sul marciapiede e chiudete sempre lo scooter con un bel luchetto.

E per tutto il resto non pensateci troppo sopra,  mescolatevi alla gente e godetevi questa favola a cielo aperto!
