Ormai conosciamo abbastanza Bangkok per sapere come muoverci tra le diverse zone. Conosciamo i posti in cui andare, i luoghi più interessanti e i quartieri più forniti.

La scelta di posizionare i tre Holiday Inn Express nei quartieri di Sukhumvit, Sathorn e Siam non poteva essere più azzeccata a nostro parere.

Tre punti strategici per tre hotel con lo stesso concept ma diversi tra loro.

Raggiungerli è molto semplice: in tutti i casi si trovano a pochi passi dalle fermate del BTS skytrain.

In our view, the decision to place the three Holiday Inn Express in the Sukhumvit, Sathorn and Siam districts could not be more successful.

Three strategic points for three different hotels that share the same concept.

It is very simple to reach them: all of them are located within walking distance of the BTS skytrain stops.

Entrare in ciascuno dei tre Holiday Inn Express ci ha messo subito a nostro agio. Si respira un’aria molto rilassata, adatta per qualunque tipo di viaggiatore.

C’è tutto quello di cui si ha bisogno, e nulla di ciò che non serve.

La colazione è gratuita, così come il wifi. E se uno la mattina non ha tempo per sedersi a colazione? Nessun problema, c’è il “Grab and go”: frutto + muffin + coffee take away. Più SMART di così!!

Quello che ci ha colpito è che nella sua semplicità, alla colazione degli Holiday Inn Express non manca nulla. C’è tutto e per tutti i gusti. (C’è anche la Nutella, standing ovation!)

Altro grosso punto a favore di tutti e tre gli hotel è il servizio Laundry Service fai-da-te. A Bangkok è veramente dura trovarne, e quei pochi che ci sono hanno sempre dei prezzi folli. Per noi è stato comodissimo avere la Laundry Service a portata di mano.

Ah, e per chi non può rinunciare alla palestra nemmeno mentre è in viaggio nessun problema. C’è sempre ed è aperta 24h. Per noi è stato il pretesto giusto per ricominciare a fare un po’ di attività dopo molto (troppo) tempo!

Ma adesso vogliamo parlarvi nel dettaglio di tutti e tre gli hotel.

Entering into each of the three Holiday Inn Express has put us at ease immediately. The atmosphere is relaxing, suitable for any type of traveller.

There is everything you need, and nothing you could consider unnecessary. 

Breakfast is free, as well as wifi. And what if someone doesn’t have any time in the morning to sit down for breakfast? No problem, there is the takeaway meal deal “Grab and go”: fruit, muffins and coffee. Nothing SMARTER than this!!!

What surprised us is that in its simplicity, the breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express has it all. There is everything and for everyone’s taste. (There is also the Nutella, standing ovation!)

Another big point in favour of all three hotels is the self-Laundry Service available for the hotel’s guests. In Bangkok it’s really hard to find a self-service laundry, and the few that provide this service are crazy expensive. For us it was convenient to have the Laundry Service at hand.

Moreover, for those who cannot give up the gym even while traveling, no problem. There is one in all of the 3 hotels and it is open 24h. For us it was the right excuse to start doing some workout after a long time!

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SUKHUMVIT 11

Smontando dalla fermata BTS di Nana, si trova ad appena 500 metri a piedi. Ma nessun problema se avete il bagaglio che pesa troppo (come il nostro), perchè un tuk tuk fornito dall’hotel compie il tragitto di andata e ritorno ogni 30 minuti.

La Soi 11 è una zona vibrante carica di locali e ristoranti di qualunque genere. Ci è bastato passeggiare per qualche centinaio di metri per trovare cucine di ogni tipo.

La nostra stanza era comoda e completa di tutto il necessario compresa una cassaforte e l’occorrente per il bagno. Ma se per caso avete dimenticato a casa qualcosa, no drama! Chiedete in reception e vi sarà dato!

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SUKHUMVIT 11

The Holiday Inn Express Sukhumvit 11 is located just 500 meters from the Nana BTS station. But no problem if your baggage weighs too much (like ours) because a tuk tuk, provided by the hotel, gives you a lift to and back every 30 minutes.

The Soi 11 is a vibrant area full of bars and restaurants of any kind. We just walked a few hundred meters and we were able to find an amazing variety of food, unbelievable!

Our room was comfortable and complete with everything you need including a safe and all the bathroom accessories. Anyway, if by chance you have forgotten something at home, no dram! Ask the receptionists and you will get anything!

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SATHORN

Si trova ad appena 100 metri dalla fermata BTS di Chong Nonsi, al centro dei quartieri Sathorn e Silom, il che significa che è perfetto per chi è in viaggio d’affari o di piacere.

Entrare in questo secondo Holiday Inn Express è stato un po’ come entrare in una galleria d’arte. La cosa che lo distingue dagli altri è la moltitudine di quadri e stampe pop dell’artista spagnolo Daniel Monfort Gil, intitolate Bangkok Anytime, che danno alle stanze un’aria decisamente più energica!

La zona è uno dei punti più conosciuti di Bangkok per la vita notturna. Nessuno rischia di annoiarsi a Silom road!

It is located just 100 meters from Chong Nonsi BTS station, in the centre of Silom and Sathorn areas, which means that it is perfect for both who travels for business or pleasure.

Entering this second Holiday Inn Express was a bit like entering an art gallery. The thing that distinguishes it from the others is the multitude of paintings and prints made by the Spanish pop artist Daniel Monfort Gil, titled Bangkok Anytime, which give the rooms a much more needed energetic ambience!

The area is one of the most popular spots for Bangkok nightlife. No one will get bored in Silom road!

HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS SIAM

Questo è il più grande della triade è stato quello che ci ha sorpreso di più. Innanzitutto si trova ad appena 100 metri dalla fermata BTS del National Stadium. Questo significa che eravamo nel bel mezzo della zona più commerciale della città. Centri come MBK, Platinum o Siam Discovery a soli pochi passi.

L’hotel è un grattacielo di 24 piani che regala a tutte le stanze una vista sulla città mozzafiato.

La nostra camera, al 21esimo piano puntava dritta verso i grattacieli di Sukhumvit, e senza dilungarci troppo nella descrizione, guardate le foto per capire di cosa stiamo parlando.

Il cavallo di battaglia? Il Rooftop Garden al 24esimo piano con tanto di palestra che si affaccia direttamente su Bangkok. Cose da far venir voglia persino a noi di correre per mezza giornata sul tapis roulant!

This is the largest of the three and it was the one which surprised us the most. First of all, it is situated just 100 meters from the National Stadium BTS station. This means that we were in the middle of the most commercial area of ​​the city. Centres such as MBK, Siam Discovery Platinum are just a few steps away.

The hotel is a skyscraper of 24 floors. This gives to all rooms a stunning and breath-taking view of the city.

Our room, on the 21st floor was pointing straight at the Sukhumvit skyscrapers. No extra words are necessary, just take a look at the pictures to understand what we’re talking about.

The piece de resistance??? A Rooftop Garden at 24th floor complete with a gym that directly overlooks Bangkok. Things like these would make even us wanting to run on the treadmill for half a day!

Vi abbiamo dato non una, ma ben tre opzioni diverse per trascorrere i vostri giorni a Bangkok nel massimo della comodità. Avete solo l’imbarazzo della scelta, ma qualunque essa sia una cosa è sicura: STAY SMART!
